Have you ever found yourself trying to coordinate schedules with friends or colleagues, only to realize that you’re both using different digital calendars? Fear not, for Google Calendar can help!

Sending a Google Calendar invite is a useful tool for scheduling events, meetings, or even just a catch-up chat. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1:

Open your Google Calendar app on your phone or Google Calendar on your desktop.

Step 2:

Click the “Create” button to create a new event.

Step 3:

Fill in the details of the event or meeting such as the title, location, start and end times, and any additional notes that should be added.

Step 4:

Once you’ve completed entering the details of the event, click on the “Add guests” button to invite people to the event.

Step 5:

Start typing the names or email addresses of the people you wish to invite, and then select them from the results that pop up.

Step 6:

You can also choose the “View Guest Availability” option to see these people’s schedules and choose a day and time that works for everyone.

Step 7:

After selecting the guests and their availability, click on the “Save” button to send the invitation.

Step 8:

If you want to see who has responded to the event, you can click on the event in your Google Calendar and see the guest list and their reply status.

Additional Tips:

– Give your event a descriptive title so that guests know what it is about right from the start.

– Make sure to specify the exact time zone if you’re inviting guests from different regions.

– Guests may receive their invitations via email, so be sure to add a professional and inviting message to the invite.

– If you change the event’s details, like the date or time, make sure to email updated invitations to all guests.

And voila! Your invite is sent, and your guests will receive an email invitation letting them know the relevant details of the event. Sending a Google Calendar invite is an excellent way to ensure everyone is on the same page and to reduce the chance of scheduling conflicts. So, the next time you need to schedule a meeting or event, remember these simple steps and simplify the process for everyone involved.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
