Microsoft Word is an excellent tool that helps users perform a variety of tasks quickly and easily. One of the most useful features of this application is its ability to rotate a table. Rotating a table can be especially helpful when you need to fit information into a specific space or when you want to make the table more aesthetically pleasing. In this article, we will discuss how to rotate a table in Microsoft Word.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Word and Create a Table

The first step in rotating a table in Microsoft Word is to create a table. To do this, open a new document in Microsoft Word and click on “Table” from the top menu bar. Then select “Insert Table” and choose the number of rows and columns you need for your table.

Step 2: Select the Table

After creating your table, the next step is to select it. To do this, place the cursor at the beginning of the first cell in the table and click once. This will highlight the entire table.

Step 3: Access the Layout Menu

Once the table is selected, navigate to the “Layout” tab in the top menu bar. This tab will help you customize the appearance and layout of your table.

Step 4: Click on Text Direction

Under the “Layout” tab, select “Text Direction” from the “Table” section. This will open a drop-down menu with various options for rotating your table.

Step 5: Choose Rotation

From the drop-down menu, select the degree of rotation you want for your table. Microsoft Word offers several options for rotating your table, including vertical, horizontal, or a custom degree.

Step 6: Preview the Changes

After you have selected the rotation angle, Microsoft Word will instantly apply the changes to your table. You can preview the changes by looking at your table on the document.

Step 7: Save Your Document

Once you have rotated your table, save your document by clicking on “File” and choosing “Save As.” Give your document a name and choose a location where you would like to save it.
