FaceTime is an excellent way to communicate with family and friends, especially during this era of remote work and social distancing. However, the background noise during a FaceTime call can be a bit of a distraction, making it difficult to focus and enjoy the conversation. In iOS 15, Apple has introduced a new feature that lets you remove background noise during a FaceTime call. In this article, we’ll show you how to use this feature to make your FaceTime calls sound better.

Step 1: Open the FaceTime App

The first thing you need to do is open the FaceTime app on your iOS device. This can be done by tapping the FaceTime icon on your home screen or by searching for it in the app drawer.

Step 2: Start a FaceTime Call

Once you’ve opened the FaceTime app, select the person you want to call from your contacts list or enter their phone number manually. Once you’ve selected the person, tap on the FaceTime icon to initiate the call.

Step 3: Enable Noise Reduction

Once the FaceTime call has started, you will see a small menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the “…” icon to open up more options. From the options menu, select “Turn on Noise Reduction.”

Step 4: Customize the Noise Reduction Level

iOS 15 comes with three different noise reduction levels, and you can select the one that works best for you. To access the different levels, tap on the “…” button during a FaceTime call and select “Noise Reduction.” This will open up the noise reduction menu. You can choose either “Standard,” “Voice Isolation,” or “Wide Spectrum.” Each option filters out different sound types, so find the one that suits the noise in your environment.

Step 5: Finish the Call

Once you have selected the noise reduction level you require, you can proceed with the call. Enjoy your conversation without disruptions from the background noise.

In conclusion, the new noise reduction feature that comes with iOS 15 is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to improve their FaceTime experience. The feature is easy to use and does an excellent job of eliminating background noise. Whether you’re using FaceTime for business meetings or social calls, this feature can make your experience better. So, next time you make a FaceTime call, enable noise reduction and give it a try.
