Changing between windows and tabs on your computer can be a tedious task, especially if you have multiple windows opened at the same time. However, did you know that you can quickly switch between windows and tabs using just your keyboard on Windows? In this article, we will show you how to do just that.

Switching between Windows

If you have multiple windows opened on your computer, it can be frustrating to find the window you need. Fortunately, Windows provides a quick way to switch between windows using your keyboard. Here’s how:

1. Hold down the Alt key on your keyboard.

2. While holding the Alt key, press the Tab key. A list of all open windows will pop up on your screen.

3. Continue pressing the Tab key until you find the window you want to switch to.

4. Release both keys to switch to the selected window.

You can also switch between windows using the Windows key and the number keys on your keyboard. Here’s how:

1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. While holding the Windows key, press the number key that corresponds to the window you want to switch to. For example, if you want to switch to the second window, press the Windows key + 2.

Switching between Tabs

If you have multiple tabs opened in your web browser, you can use your keyboard to quickly switch between them. Here’s how:

1. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.

2. While holding the Ctrl key, press the Tab key. A list of all open tabs will pop up on your screen.

3. Continue pressing the Tab key until you find the tab you want to switch to.

4. Release both keys to switch to the selected tab.

You can also switch between tabs using the Ctrl key and the number keys on your keyboard. Here’s how:

1. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.

2. While holding the Ctrl key, press the number key that corresponds to the tab you want to switch to. For example, if you want to switch to the second tab, press Ctrl + 2.

Conclusion

Switching between windows and tabs using your keyboard on Windows can save you a lot of time and frustration. By using these simple keyboard shortcuts, you can quickly find the window or tab you need and get back to work without missing a beat. So, give it a try and see if it works for you!
