The Wiki Game is a fun and exhilarating way to explore Wikipedia and learn about new topics. It requires players to navigate through Wikipedia pages from an initial topic to a final target topic in the fewest clicks possible. The game can be played alone or with friends, and it is a great way to increase knowledge on a variety of subjects.

Here are the steps on how to play the Wiki Game on Wikipedia:

Step 1: Choose a starting and target topic

To start the game, choose a topic that you want to start from and a target topic that you want to get to. The goal is to navigate from the starting page to the target page in the fewest clicks possible using only Wikipedia links.

For example, you could choose to start at the page on “dogs” and end up at the page on “Egypt” or start at “Elon Musk” and end up at “The Beatles.”

Step 2: Determine the rules

Determine the rules for the game. For example, you could set a time limit for each round, or decide on a maximum number of clicks allowed. You could also decide whether or not to allow players to use the search bar, or to use external links.

Step 3: Start the game

Once you have chosen your starting and target topics and set the rules, it’s time to start the game. Players must use links within Wikipedia articles to navigate from the starting page to the target page, in the fewest clicks possible.

Step 4: Keep track of clicks

To keep track of clicks, players can use a notepad or tally counter. It’s important to keep track of clicks to determine the winner of each round.

Step 5: Winner declared

The player who reaches the target page in the fewest clicks wins the game. It’s important to keep track of the number of clicks for each player to determine the winner.

Playing the Wiki Game on Wikipedia is an exciting way to explore the world of knowledge on Wikipedia. Not only is it fun, but it is also a great way to learn new things and improve your knowledge on various topics. With a few easy steps, you can start playing the Wiki Game and discover the wonders of Wikipedia.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
