Roku is one of the best streaming devices in the market; it allows you to stream your favorite movies and TV shows with ease. The device comes with a remote control that helps you navigate the menu without hassle. However, you may encounter issues with the remote not working correctly or not pairing with the device. In this article, we will show you how to pair a Roku remote or reset it.

Pairing a Roku Remote

If your Roku remote is not working, it may be because it’s not paired with the device. Here’s how to pair it.

Step 1: Turn on your Roku device and TV.

Step 2: Press and hold the pairing button on the back of your Roku remote for three seconds or more.

Step 3: Your Roku device will detect your remote, and the LED light on the front will start flashing.

Step 4: Wait for the LED light on the remote to stop flashing, and it will be paired with the device.

Note that if you own a Roku TV, you can use the Roku mobile app as a remote.

Resetting a Roku Remote

If you’ve tried pairing your Roku remote and it still doesn’t work, then you should reset it. Here’s how.

Step 1: Remove the batteries from your remote.

Step 2: Unplug your Roku device from the power source and wait for 10 seconds.

Step 3: Plug in the Roku device back and wait until it’s fully booted up.

Step 4: Insert the batteries back into the remote.

Step 5: Press and hold the pairing button on the back of your remote until the LED flashes.

Step 6: Wait for the LED to stop flashing, and your remote will be reset.

Final Thoughts

Pairing or resetting a Roku remote is easy and straightforward. However, if the steps above don’t work, you may need to contact customer support for additional help. Additionally, it’s crucial that you replace your remote’s batteries regularly and make sure to pair it correctly with your Roku device. By doing this, you will avoid any issues and enjoy streaming your favorite movies and TV shows with ease.
