Making IE11 the default browser in Windows is a relatively simple process. Follow the steps below to make IE11 your default browser:

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer 11

To get started, you will need to open IE11. There are a few ways to do this:

– Open the Start menu, type “Internet Explorer” in the search bar, and click on the IE11 icon that comes up.
– If you have the IE11 icon on your desktop or taskbar, click on it to launch the browser.
– Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows key + R. Type “iexplore” in the box and press Enter.

Step 2: Open the Settings menu

Once IE11 is open, click on the “Settings” button (the gear icon) in the top-right corner of the window. This will open a drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click on “Internet options”

In the drop-down menu, click on “Internet options” at the bottom of the list. This will open the Internet Options window.

Step 4: Click on the “Programs” tab

In the Internet Options window, select the “Programs” tab.

Step 5: Click on “Make Internet Explorer the default browser”

Under the “Default web browser” section in the Programs tab, click on the “Make Internet Explorer the default browser” button. This will set IE11 as the default browser for all web-related activities on your Windows system.

Step 6: Click on “OK”

Once you’ve clicked on the “Make Internet Explorer the default browser” button, click on “OK” to close the Internet Options window.

That’s it! IE11 is now your default browser in Windows. If you ever want to change your default browser back to something else (like Edge, Chrome, or Firefox), simply follow these steps again and select the other browser as your default.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
