If you have just installed new drivers or software on your Windows 10 computer and are unable to exit Safe Mode, do not worry. There are different ways on how to get out of the Windows 10 Safe Mode and switch back to normal mode. Let’s walk through the different options.

Option 1: Restart your computer

The first and easiest method to exit Safe Mode is by restarting your computer. Windows will typically exit Safe Mode on its own once restarted. However, this method may not always work.

Option 2: Use System Configuration

System Configuration is a tool that allows users to manage startup options for Windows 10. Here are the steps to use System Configuration to exit Safe Mode:

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialogue box.

2. Type “msconfig” and press Enter.

3. Click on the boot tab.

4. Uncheck the Safe Boot option.

5. Click on OK to save the changes.

6. Restart your computer to exit Safe Mode.

Option 3: Use the Settings App

Windows Settings is another option to exit Safe Mode on your Windows 10 computer. You can use these steps to exit Safe Mode using Windows Settings:

1. Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app.

2. Click on Update & Security.

3. Click on Recovery.

4. Under Advanced Startup, click on Restart Now.

5. Once your computer restarts, click on Troubleshoot.

6. Select Advanced Options.

7. Select Startup Settings.

8. Click on Restart.

9. Press 4 or F4 to enable Safe Mode.

10. Your computer will restart in Safe Mode.

11. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box.

12. Type “msconfig” and press Enter.

13. Click on the boot tab.

14. Uncheck the Safe Boot option.

15. Click on OK to save the changes and exit Safe Mode.

Option 4: Use the Command Prompt

The Command Prompt is a useful tool to exit Safe Mode in Windows 10. Follow these steps:

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box.

2. Type “cmd” and press Enter.

3. Type “bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot” in the Command Prompt window.

4. Press Enter.

5. Restart your computer to exit Safe Mode.

Conclusion

In conclusion, there are different options to exit Safe Mode in Windows 10. You can use the Restart method, System Configuration, Windows Settings, or the Command Prompt to exit Safe Mode. If you have tried all of these options and are unable to exit Safe Mode, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
