Your iPhone occasionally encounters errors, bugs, and other problems that require a reset. Force restarting your iPhone is one of the methods to resolve these issues. Recovery mode is another option, allowing you to restore your iPhone to its previous state. The following are the ways to force restart an iPhone and enter recovery mode.

1. Force Restart:

On iPhones with a home button: Press and hold both the power button and the home button simultaneously. Wait for the Apple logo to appear, then release them.

On iPhones without a home button: Press and release the volume up button quickly, then press and release the volume down button quickly. Finally, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

2. Entering Recovery Mode:

1. Attach your iPhone to a computer and open iTunes.

2. To enter Recovery Mode on an iPhone 8 or later, press the volume up button and quickly release it. Then, press the volume down button and quickly release it. Hold the side button until you find the Connect to iTunes screen.

3. To enter Recovery Mode on an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, hold down the power and volume down buttons at the same time until the “Connect to iTunes” message appears.

4. To enter Recovery Mode on an iPhone 6s and earlier models, hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until the “Connect to iTunes” message appears.

After entering Recovery Mode, you can recover lost data, reset your iPhone to its factory state, or restore from a backup.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
