How to Fix Origin’s Installation Error Code 20:2 on Windows

Origin is a digital distribution platform developed by Electronic Arts, popularly known as EA. It allows users to buy and play video games and also provides a social networking feature. However, users might face errors while installing the Origin application on their Windows devices. One such error is the Origin installation error code 20:2.

1. Run Origin as Administrator
Sometimes, Origin does not have sufficient permissions to install and run correctly. Therefore, running it as an administrator might help resolve the error. Right-click on the Origin shortcut icon and select “Run as administrator” from the context menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
2. Disable Antivirus Software
In some cases, antivirus software can prevent the installation process for Origin. You can temporarily disable your antivirus software and attempt to install Origin again. After the installation is successful, enable your antivirus software again.
3. Clear Origin Cache
Clearing the Origin cache can help resolve installation errors. Follow these steps to clear your Origin cache:
