Windows 10 comes with a number of power plans that allow users to adjust the performance of their computer according to their preferences. However, there is an Ultimate Performance Power Plan that is not available by default but can offer a boost in performance for high-end devices. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to enable the Ultimate Performance Power Plan in Windows 10.

Step 1: Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

To enable the Ultimate Performance Power Plan, you need to use the Command Prompt. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin). If prompted, click Yes to allow the app to make changes to your device.

Step 2: Copy the command.

Now, you need to copy the command that enables the Ultimate Performance Power Plan. Copy the following command:

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

Step 3: Paste the command.

In the Command Prompt window, right-click and select Paste to paste the command you have copied. Then, press the Enter key to execute the command.

Step 4: Check if the Ultimate Performance Power Plan is enabled.

To check if the Ultimate Performance Power Plan is enabled, you need to access Power Options settings. Right-click on the battery icon in the taskbar and select Power Options. Alternatively, you can open Settings and go to System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings.

In the Power Options window, you should see the Ultimate Performance Power Plan listed under the available plans. If it is not visible, click on the down arrow to expand the list of power plans.

Step 5: Select the Ultimate Performance Power Plan.

Now, select the Ultimate Performance Power Plan and click on the Apply button. Then, click on the OK button to save the changes.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
