How to Delete an Address From Google Maps

Google Maps is a popular online mapping service that provides users with automated and interactive maps, satellite imagery, and 360-degree panoramic views of streets, buildings, and landmarks. It also provides users with a platform to share and discover local businesses, reviews, ratings, and addresses. However, if you want to delete an address from Google Maps, maybe because it’s outdated, inaccurate, or irrelevant, then here’s a step-by-step guide to help you.

Step 1: Open Google Maps

The first step to deleting an address from Google Maps is to launch the app on your mobile device or visit the website on your computer. If you’re using a mobile device, you can download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store. If you’re using a computer, you can visit the Google Maps website at https://www.google.com/maps.

Step 2: Search for the Address

The next step is to search for the address that you want to delete from Google Maps. You can either type the address on the search bar, use the saved places feature, or use the My Maps feature. Once you’ve found the address, click or tap on the pin to open the info window.

Step 3: Open the Info Window

The info window contains detailed information about the address, such as the name, address, phone number, website, business hours, photos, reviews, ratings, and more. You’ll also see several buttons, including the “Directions” button, the “Save” button, the “Share” button, the “Photo” button, and the “More” button.

Step 4: Click or Tap on the More Button

The next step is to click or tap on the “More” button to reveal additional options. Among the options, you’ll see the “Report a Problem” button, the “Add a Photo” button, the “Add a Place” button, and the “Delete This Place” button. Click or tap on the “Delete This Place” button.

Step 5: Confirm Deletion

The final step is to confirm the deletion by clicking or tapping on “Delete” in the pop-up window. You may also be required to provide a reason for deleting the address, such as “Closed Permanently,” “Duplicate,” “Moved,” “Private,” “Spam,” or “Other.”

Deleting an address from Google Maps is a straightforward process that requires only a few clicks or taps. However, it’s important to note that deleting an address from Google Maps will not necessarily delete it from other Google services or third-party sites that may have imported the information. Therefore, it’s advisable to contact the source of the information or follow up with other listings and directories to ensure that the address is removed completely.
