If you are an iPhone user, you are probably familiar with iMessage, Apple’s messaging platform that enables you to send text messages, photos, and videos to other iOS users. One of the features of iMessage that you may not be aware of is the ability to create group chats. Group chats are a great way to communicate with multiple people at once, making it easier to plan events, share news, or just catch up. In this article, we will walk you through the steps to create an iMessage group chat.

Step 1: Open the iMessage app on your iPhone

First, you need to open the iMessage app on your iPhone. You can do this by tapping the green icon with a speech bubble on your home screen. If you have an unread message, the icon will have a red notification badge.

Step 2: Tap the Compose button

Once you have opened the iMessage app, you need to tap the compose button in the top right-hand corner of your screen. The compose button is a square with a pencil in it. It is the same button you would use to start a new message to a single recipient.

Step 3: Type in the names of the people you want to add

In the To field, type in the names of the people you want to add to your group chat. You can either type their names manually or choose them from your Contacts list by clicking on the + button next to the To field. You can add up to 32 people to a group chat.

Step 4: Tap on the Create Group button

Once you have added all the people to your group chat, tap on the create group button. This will create a new group chat with all the people you have added. You can now start chatting with the people in your group chat.

Step 5: Customize your group chat

You can customize your group chat by adding a name, a group photo, or changing the color of the chat bubbles. To do this, go to the group chat and tap on the group name at the top of your screen. This will take you to the Group Info screen, where you can make any changes you want.

Step 6: Start chatting

Once you have created your group chat and customized it to your liking, you can start chatting with the people in your group. Simply type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen and hit send. All the people in your group will receive your message, and they can respond to it by typing their own message and hitting send.
