If you have both Google Home and Sonos speakers in your household, it is now possible to connect them through the Sonos app. By doing so, you can use your voice to control your Sonos speakers with Google Home, making it easier to enjoy your favorite tunes and podcasts at home. In this article, we will guide you on how to connect your Google Home to your Sonos speakers.

Before we proceed with the steps, it is important to note that you should have both the Google Assistant and Sonos apps installed and updated on your phone. You should also have a stable internet connection.

Step 1:

Download and install the Sonos app on your phone. Launch the app and create an account if you don’t already have one. Sign in to the Sonos app using your Sonos account credentials.

Step 2:

On the home screen of the Sonos app, tap on the “More” button at the bottom of the screen. Then, tap on “Voice Control.”

Step 3:

Tap on “Set up voice control” to connect your Google Assistant account to your Sonos app.

Step 4:

You will be redirected to Google Assistant’s website, where you will sign in to your Google account that you use with Google Home.

Step 5:

Tap on “Agree” to give Sonos permission to access your Google Home devices.

Step 6:

Return to the Sonos app and select the Sonos speaker you wish to connect to your Google Home device.

Step 7:

Tap on “Add to a Room” and select the room where your Sonos speaker is located.

Step 8:

Finally, ensure your Google Home device is properly set up and connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Say, “Hey Google, play [song title/artist/radio station] on [Sonos speaker name].” Your Google Assistant will then connect to your Sonos app to start playing the music on the Sonos speaker.

By following these simple steps, you can easily connect your Google Home to your Sonos speaker and enjoy seamless voice control of your music and audio. You can also control the volume, skip tracks, and pause/play your audio hands-free. With the integration of Sonos and Google Home, you can now elevate your home audio experience to a whole new level.
