If you own an iPad, one of the many advantages of owning the device is the array of keyboard options that can be paired with it. The Magic Keyboard, specifically, is one of the best keyboard options out there, thanks to the ease of use, comfort, and versatility that it provides. However, if you’re unsure about how to connect your Magic Keyboard to your iPad, this article will provide you with the steps you need to follow to get it up and running.

Step 1: Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled on Your iPad

The first step to connecting your Magic Keyboard to your iPad is to ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device. To do this, you’ll need to navigate to the iPad’s settings, tap ‘Bluetooth,’ and toggle the switch next to it to the ‘On’ position.

Step 2: Turn on Your Magic Keyboard

Once Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad, the next step is to turn on your Magic Keyboard. To do this, press and hold down the power button located at the side of the keyboard. When the keyboard powers on, the LED indicator light will begin to blink.

Step 3: Pair Your Magic Keyboard with Your iPad

Now that your iPad and Magic Keyboard are both on, it’s time to pair them. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on ‘Settings’ on your iPad
  2. Select ‘Bluetooth’
  3. Wait for your iPad to detect your Magic Keyboard (‘Magic Keyboard’ should appear on your iPad’s Bluetooth screen)
  4. Tap on the ‘Magic Keyboard’ option to pair it with your iPad.

Once you tap on the ‘Magic Keyboard’ option, a message will show up requesting that you enter the pairing code displayed on your iPad to your keyboard. The code will also appear on your Magic Keyboard. Input the code on your keyboard and your Magic Keyboard will be paired with your iPad automatically.

Step 4: Start Typing

Congratulations! Your Magic Keyboard is now connected to your iPad. You can test your connection by typing a few words on your iPad using your newly paired Magic Keyboard.
