The release of the PS5 has been widely anticipated by gamers around the world. With its powerful hardware and stunning graphics, it has quickly become the go-to console for gaming enthusiasts. However, one of the most common questions asked by gamers is how to connect a PS4 controller to a PS5.

In this article, we will guide you through the steps to connect your PS4 controller to a PS5.

Step 1: Turn on your PS5

The first step is to turn on your PS5. You can do this by pressing the power button on the console or by using your DualSense controller.

Step 2: Connect your PS4 controller to your PS5

The next step is to connect your PS4 controller to your PS5. You can do this by using a USB cable or by using Bluetooth.

If you choose to use a USB cable, simply plug it into the USB port on your PS5 and then plug the other end into your PS4 controller.

If you want to connect your PS4 controller to your PS5 wirelessly via Bluetooth, follow these steps:

– Turn on your PS5 and go to the Settings menu.

– Select the Accessories option and then select Bluetooth Accessories.

– Put your PS4 controller into pairing mode by pressing and holding the PS button and the Share button at the same time until the light on the controller starts flashing.

– Your PS5 will now detect the PS4 controller and show it in the list of available devices.

– Select the PS4 controller from the list and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Step 3: Test your PS4 controller

Once you have successfully connected your PS4 controller to your PS5, it’s time to test it out. Make sure your PS5 is turned on and your PS4 controller is connected, then play a game or navigate the PS5 interface with your PS4 controller. If everything is working correctly, you should be able to seamlessly control your PS5 with your PS4 controller.

In conclusion, connecting a PS4 controller to a PS5 is a straightforward process that can be done in just a few steps. Whether you choose to connect your controller via USB or Bluetooth, you can enjoy your favorite PS5 games using the comfort and familiarity of your PS4 controller.
