Yahoo Mail is a popular webmail service that provides users with a convenient way to send and receive emails, manage contacts, and access several other online services. To protect your account from hackers and unauthorized access, it is recommended to change your Yahoo Mail password frequently. Changing your password is easy and can be done in just a few steps. Here’s how to change your Yahoo Mail password.

Step 1: Login to your Yahoo Mail account

The first step to change your Yahoo Mail password is to log in to your account. Visit the Yahoo Mail homepage and enter your email address and current password. Click on the ‘Sign in’ button to access your inbox.

Step 2: Open ‘Account info’

Once you are logged in to your Yahoo Mail account, click on the ‘gear’ icon in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open a dropdown menu with several options. Click on ‘Account info’ to proceed.

Step 3: Access the ‘Security’ tab

In the Account info section, you will see several tabs such as Account security, Personal info, Recent activity, and more. Click on the ‘Security’ tab to access the password settings.

Step 4: Change your password

Under the ‘Security’ tab, you will see several options to enhance the security of your Yahoo Mail account. To change your password, click on the ‘Change password’ button. This will redirect you to a new page where you will be asked to verify your identity by entering your current password.

After verifying your identity, you will see a new screen where you can enter your new password. Make sure your new password is strong, unique, and easy to remember. Yahoo Mail requires you to use a combination of letters, numbers, symbols, and upper/lowercase characters to create a secure password.

Step 5: Save your changes

After entering your new password, click on the ‘Continue’ button to save your changes. Yahoo Mail will confirm that your password has been changed successfully.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your Yahoo Mail password. Make sure to remember your new password or write it down somewhere safe to avoid forgetting it. Additionally, never share your password with anyone to keep your Yahoo Mail account safe and secure. By following these simple steps, you can change your Yahoo Mail password quickly and easily.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
