Google Meet is one of the most popular video conferencing platforms used for online meetings, webinars, and virtual events. It’s a convenient and user-friendly tool that allows you to connect with your colleagues, friends, and family members from anywhere in the world.

If you’re using Google Meet, you may want to change your name. This could be due to various reasons such as privacy concerns, using a nickname, or correcting a typo. Fortunately, changing your name on Google Meet is a simple and straightforward process.

Here are the steps for changing your name on Google Meet:

Step 1: Log in to Google Meet

First, you need to log in to your Google Meet account. You can do this by visiting the Google Meet website or opening the Google Meet app on your device.

Step 2: Join a Meeting

Once you’re logged in, you need to join a meeting. You can either create a new meeting or join an existing one. Click on the “Join or start a meeting” button and enter the meeting code or the link you have been provided with.

Step 3: Click on Three Dots

After you have joined the meeting, look for the “More options” button, which looks like three dots arranged vertically. It’s located in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Click on Rename

Click on “Rename” from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Change your name

A new dialog box will appear that allows you to change your name. Simply type in the name that you want to be displayed during the meeting.

Step 6: Save your name

Once you’ve entered your new name, click on “Save” to apply the changes.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your name on Google Meet.

Changing your name on Google Meet is a quick and easy process, and it’s a useful feature to know for privacy or personalization reasons. Just remember to choose an appropriate name before entering a meeting, as your name will appear to all participants.

In conclusion, Google Meet is a reliable and efficient tool for video conferencing, and the ability to change your name is just one of many valuable features. With this guide, you can now change your name on Google Meet with ease.
