Steps to Change Instagram Chat Themes and Colors

Step 1: First, open the Instagram app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Navigate to the DM session.

Step 3: Now, open any particular chat you wish to customize.

Step 4: Tap on the “i” icon at the top right corner of the chat.

Step 5: You will see an option “theme” from which you can customize the chat theme.

Step 6: You can choose from the range of color palettes available by scrolling left and right across the horizontal color bar below the theme selection option.

Step 7: Once you select the desired color, click on the checkmark (✓) icon on the top right corner of the app to apply the color.

Step 8: Upon applying your custom color, the chat theme will be updated in real-time, and you can view it while chatting with your friends.

Step 9: You can also customize the chat color using “Color” right below the “Theme” option. You can select any hexadecimal color value or choose from the available color palette range.
