Windows 11 comes with Microsoft Edge as its default browser. However, users have the option to change it to a different browser of their choice. In this article, we will guide you on how to change the default Windows 11 browser.

Step 1: Open settings

Click on the Windows Start menu and then click the gear icon to open the Settings app. Alternatively, you can press the Windows key + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.

Step 2: Click on Apps

In the Settings app, click on the “Apps” option located on the left-hand side of the window.

Step 3: Click on Default Apps

Under the Apps settings, click on the “Default Apps” option.

Step 4: Choose the Browser

Scroll down the Default Apps settings until you see the “Web browser” option. Click on the current default browser to see a list of other available browsers installed on your computer.

Step 5: Choose your preferred browser

Select the browser you want to use as your default browser from the list of available browsers. If the browser you want to use is not listed, click on the “Choose another app” option and select your preferred browser from the list of installed apps.

Step 6: Confirm the change

Once you have selected your preferred browser, close the Default Apps settings window. Your selected browser is now your default browser on Windows 11.
