As an Android user, you might find it annoying when you have to watch ads every time you open a YouTube video on your mobile device. Even though ads are essential for content creators to earn revenue, sometimes we just want to enjoy the video without interruption. Fortunately, there are ways to block YouTube ads on an Android device, and it’s not complicated at all. Here are some simple steps to help you enjoy an ad-free YouTube experience.

Method 1: Using Ad-blocking Apps

There are many ad-blocking apps available on the Google Play Store that can help you block YouTube ads on your Android device. Here’s how you can install and use these apps:

1. Go to Google Play Store on your Android device and search for an ad-blocking app like AdLock, YouTube Vanced, or AdGuard.

2. Download and install the app on your device.

3. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to enable ad-blocking on your device.

4. Open the YouTube app and play a video.

5. You should notice that no ads are displayed during the video playback.

Method 2: Using YouTube Vanced

YouTube Vanced is a modified version of the official YouTube app, and it offers many features, including ad-blocking. Here’s how to install YouTube Vanced on your Android device:

1. Download the latest version of YouTube Vanced APK from its official website or a reliable source.

2. Go to Settings > Security on your Android device and enable the “Unknown Sources” option to install apps from external sources.

3. Open the YouTube Vanced APK file that you downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions to install the app.

4. Once installed, open the YouTube Vanced app, and you will notice the absence of ads during video playback.

Method 3: Using DNS-based Ad-blockers

A DNS-based ad-blocker blocks ads at the DNS level by redirecting the requests to ad servers to a non-existent server. Here’s how to use DNS-based ad-blockers on your Android device:

1. Install a DNS ad-blocker app like Blokada or AdGuard on your device from the Google Play Store.

2. Open the app and enable ad-blocking.

3. Play a YouTube video, and you will notice that no ads are displayed during playback.

Conclusion

Blocking YouTube ads on your Android device can help you watch videos continuously without interruptions. Using ad-blocking apps like AdLock, YouTube Vanced, or AdGuard, installing YouTube Vanced, or using DNS-based ad-blockers are some of the ways to block ads on YouTube. Choose the method that works best for you, and enjoy an ad-free YouTube experience.
