If you’re tired of receiving emails from a particular sender in your Gmail inbox, you can easily block them. When you block a sender, their emails will be automatically sent to your Spam folder, and you won’t receive notifications for their messages. In addition, you can also let the sender know that you have blocked them.

Here’s how to block a sender and let them know you did in Gmail:

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to block

First, open the email from the sender you want to block. You can do this by clicking on the email in your Gmail inbox.

  1. Click on the three dots icon

Next, click on the three dots icon in the top right corner of the email. This will open a drop-down menu.

  1. Select “Block [sender]”

In the drop-down menu, select “Block [sender]”. This will open a confirmation message.

  1. Confirm that you want to block the sender

In the confirmation message, click on “Block” to confirm that you want to block the sender. This will automatically move their emails to your Spam folder.

  1. Select “Report spam” and “Send email to notify [sender]”

If you want to let the sender know that you have blocked them, select “Report spam” and “Send email to notify [sender]”. This will send an email to the sender, letting them know that you have blocked them.

  1. Click on “Block” to confirm

Finally, click on “Block” to confirm that you want to block the sender and send them a notification email.

That’s it! You’ve successfully blocked a sender and let them know you did in Gmail. From now on, their emails will be automatically sent to your Spam folder, and you won’t receive notifications for their messages.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
