Adjusting the screen resolution in Windows 11 is necessary if the display doesn’t appear appealing or the text and icons appear too large or small. Fortunately, Windows 11 offers a simple process to change the resolution settings on your device.

Here’s a simple guide on how to adjust the screen resolution in Windows 11:

Method 1: Using the Settings app

Step 1: Open the Settings app

Click on the Start button or press the Windows key and then click on the gear icon located on the left-hand side to open the Settings app.

Step 2: Go to Display settings

In the Settings app, click on System, and then select Display.

Step 3: Choose the resolution

Under the Display settings, scroll down to the “Scale and Layout” section, and then click on the Resolution drop-down menu.

From there, select the resolution that you want to switch to. Windows 11 will suggest a recommended resolution, but you can select any other resolution if you want.

Step 4: Confirm the changes

Once you’ve chosen the resolution, click on the “Apply” button to confirm the changes.

Step 5: Restart your computer

After applying the resolution changes, Windows 11 may ask you to restart your computer to complete the process.

Alternative Method:

Method 2: Using the Properties window

Step 1: Open the Display settings

Right-click anywhere on your desktop, and then select “Display settings” from the context menu.

Step 2: Go to the Properties window

Click on the “Advanced display settings” link located at the bottom of the Display settings window to open the Properties window.

Step 3: Choose the resolution

In the Properties window, click on the “Display adapter properties for Display 1” link.

Click on the “List All Modes” button to display a list of supported screen resolutions. Choose the resolution that you want to use and then click on “OK”.

Step 4: Confirm the changes

After selecting the new resolution, Click on “Apply” and then click on “OK”.

Step 5: Restart your computer

Windows 11 will ask you to restart your system to apply the changes.

In conclusion, adjusting the screen resolution can make a significant difference in the way you view the display of your device. By following these simple steps, you can change the resolution settings to a more comfortable visual experience.
