Safari is the default web browser on Mac computers. One useful feature of Safari is the ability to save and manage favorites for quick access to frequently visited websites. This article will explain how to add, view, and manage favorites in Safari on a Mac.

Adding Favorites in Safari on a Mac

To add a website to your favorites in Safari, follow these steps:

1. Open Safari on your Mac and go to the website you want to add to your favorites.

2. Click on the “Bookmarks” menu in the top menu bar.

3. Select “Add Bookmark” or use the keyboard shortcut “Command + D”.

4. Choose where you want to save the bookmark. You can save it to the Favorites bar, the Bookmarks menu, or a custom folder.

5. Name the bookmark to something memorable so it’s easy to find later.

6. Click “Add” to save the bookmark.

Viewing Favorites in Safari on a Mac

After you’ve added favorites to Safari, you can easily access them from the Favorites bar or Bookmarks menu.

1. To view your Favorites bar, make sure it’s enabled in Safari. Go to “View” in the top menu bar and select “Show Favorites Bar”. You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Command + Shift + B”.

2. Your favorite websites will appear as icons in the Favorites bar. Click on one to open it.

3. To view all of your favorites, go to the Bookmarks menu in the top menu bar and select “Show Bookmarks”. You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Command + Option + B”.

4. From here, you can see all of your saved bookmarks organized by folder or category. Click on a bookmark to open it.

Managing Favorites in Safari on a Mac

You can easily manage your favorites in Safari to organize them or remove ones you no longer need.

1. To organize your favorites, go to the Bookmarks menu in the top menu bar and select “Edit Bookmarks”. You can also use the keyboard shortcut “Command + Option + B”.

2. From here, you can rearrange bookmarks by dragging them to a different folder or position.

3. To delete a bookmark, select it and click the “Delete” button in the bottom left corner of the Bookmarks window.

4. If you want to rename a bookmark, select it and click “Edit” in the bottom left corner of the Bookmarks window. Change the name and click “Done” to save your changes.
