Skype is a popular communication tool that allows people to connect with others via text, voice, and video calls. One of the key features of Skype is the ability to add and remove friends and contacts. In this article, we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to add or remove friends and contacts on Skype.

Adding Friends on Skype

1. Open Skype on your computer or mobile device.

2. Click on the “Contacts” tab in the bottom left corner of the screen.

3. Click on the “Add Contact” button, which is represented by a person with a plus sign next to it.

4. Type in the username, email address, or phone number of the person you want to add as a friend.

5. Click on the search button to find the person you want to add.

6. Once you find the person you want to add, click on the “Add Contact” button next to their name.

7. A window will pop up asking you to send a contact request message. You can either type in a message or leave it blank and click “Send Request”.

8. The person you added will receive a notification that you have requested to add them as a contact.

9. If they accept your request, they will become a contact on your Skype list.

Removing Friends or Contacts on Skype

1. Open Skype on your computer or mobile device.

2. Click on the “Contacts” tab in the bottom left corner of the screen.

3. Find the contact you want to remove and right-click on their name.

4. Select “Remove from Contacts” from the drop-down menu.

5. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm if you want to remove the contact.

6. Click “Remove” if you are sure you want to delete the contact.

7. The contact will be removed from your Skype list and you will no longer be able to communicate with them.

In summary, adding or removing friends and contacts on Skype is a simple process. By following these steps, you can quickly add new friends or remove old ones from your contact list. Whether you are using Skype for personal or business purposes, having an up-to-date contact list will help you communicate effectively and efficiently with the people you need to connect with.
