Snapchat is a popular social media app that has taken the world by storm since its launch in 2011. One of its unique features is the use of various emojis to represent different aspects of your interaction with friends on the platform. In this article, we will demystify these emojis and explain what each one means.

1. 💛Yellow Heart: You and your friend are each other’s number one best friends on Snapchat. This means you send and receive the most snaps from one another.

2. 😬Grimacing Face: Your friend shares a best friend with you. This emoji signifies that both of you have a mutual best friend on Snapchat.

3. 😊Smiling Face: This emoji represents a good friend on Snapchat, someone you communicate with regularly but not necessarily your best friend.

4. 😏Smirking Face: You are among their best friends, but they are not one of yours. This emoji suggests that they might be snapping you more than you’re snapping them back.

5. 🔥Fire: A Snapstreak is indicated by this emoji. It appears when you and your friend have consecutively snapped each other for several days.

6. ⌛Hourglass: Time is running out! The Hourglass emojisan appears when your Snapstreak with a friend is about to end. To keep the streak going, send a snap as soon as possible.

7. 🎂Birthday Cake: It’s your friend’s birthday! This fun emoji pops up next to your friend’s username when they have entered their birthdate in Snapchat settings, and it’s their special day.

8. 💕Two Pink Hearts: You both have been each other’s number one best friends for two months straight, which upgrades the Yellow Heart to Two Pink Hearts.

9. 🌟Gold Star: Someone has replayed this person’s snaps in the past 24 hours. It’s an indicator of engaging content.

10. 💫Shooting Star: The Shooting Star emoji appears alongside a friend when you both share a mutual friend whose Snapchat score has recently increased.

11. 👶Baby: You have just recently become friends with this person on Snapchat. This adorable Baby emoji symbolizes the start of a new friendship.

12. ✨Sparkles: You’re in a group chat! This emoji denotes that you have a "Group Story" with one or more friends, open to view and contribute to by any group member.

Snapchat created these emojis to add a fun and personal touch to your interactions within the app. Understanding their meanings can help you keep track of friendships, Snapstreaks, and more. Happy snapping!
