As video content grows in popularity, it’s important to be able to present your ideas and information in the most professional manner possible. One helpful tool for both videos and webinars is a teleprompter, which allows you to read a script while maintaining eye contact with the camera or audience. However, traditional teleprompters can be costly and difficult to set up. Fortunately, there are many free teleprompter apps that can be downloaded on your phone or tablet, making the process much easier and more affordable.

One popular teleprompter app is PromptSmart Lite, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. This app uses voice recognition technology to automatically scroll your script as you speak, minimizing the risk of awkward pauses or forgotten lines. You can also adjust the speed and font size to suit your preferences, and store multiple scripts for future use.

Another great option is Bigvu, which is specifically designed for video recording. This app allows you to record your video while simultaneously reading your script, and even includes an auto-scroll function to keep your pace consistent. You can also add graphics and images to your presentation within the app, making it a versatile option for content creation.

For a more traditional teleprompter experience, try Simple Teleprompter for iOS. This app displays your script on a customizable screen, and allows you to manually control the scrolling speed with a remote or by swiping on the screen. It also includes features such as text color and background customization, as well as a built-in timer to keep your presentation on track.

If you’re looking for a teleprompter app specifically for webinars, check out Presentation Prompter. This app allows you to create and save multiple presentations, and includes a countdown timer to ensure that you stay within your allotted time frame. You can also customize the font and scrolling speed to match your personal presentation style.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
