As the saying goes, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch.” However, there is such a thing as a free email account that offers anonymity.

Anonymity is crucial, especially with the increasing occurrence of cyber-attacks and data breaches. It is a means of keeping sensitive information safe from prying eyes. The good news is that several free email accounts provide this service.

One of the well-known email providers that offer anonymity is ProtonMail. It offers end-to-end encryption, which means only you and the intended recipient can see the message contents. No one, not even ProtonMail providers, can access your data. It has a user-friendly interface and can be accessed through their website or mobile app.

Another option is Hushmail; it is similar to ProtonMail, offers end-to-end encryption, and can be accessed through their website or mobile app. Hushmail users also have the option to use a custom domain, which can further add a layer of anonymity to their email address.

Tutanota is another popular option. It offers anonymous email accounts with end-to-end encryption, and like Hushmail, it also provides a custom domain option. Tutanota also offers extra protection by encrypting all emails, including the subject line and attachments.

On the other hand, Gmail and Yahoo Mail are popular email providers, but they are not as secure and private as the previously mentioned email accounts. However, Gmail offers two-step verification, which adds another layer of security to the user’s account. Yahoo Mail also has an option to turn on two-factor authentication.

In conclusion, having a free email account that offer anonymity is essential in today’s digital age. ProtonMail, Hushmail, and Tutanota provide the highest level of privacy and encryption for their users. On the other hand, Gmail and Yahoo Mail are popular email providers but lack the security and privacy features that the above mentioned email accounts provide. It is crucial to keep your sensitive information safe and secure, and using free email accounts that offer anonymity is an excellent way to do so.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
