Fixes if Windows 10 Can’t Detect a Wi-Fi Network

Windows 10 is a powerful and effective operating system, but it is not immune to bugs and problems. One of the most common issues users face when using Windows 10 is the inability to detect Wi-Fi networks. This can be frustrating, especially if you rely on Wi-Fi for internet access. Fortunately, there are a few fixes you can try to resolve this problem.

1. Restart your computer and router: A simple but effective solution to Windows 10’s Wi-Fi connectivity issue is to restart your computer and router. This helps reset the network settings and can help detect Wi-Fi networks that were previously undetected.

2. Turn Wi-Fi off and on: Another easy solution is to turn off your computer’s Wi-Fi connection and turn it back on again. This can help refresh the network settings and can help detect Wi-Fi networks that were previously not showing up.

3. Check your network settings: If your computer’s Wi-Fi is turned on and you still can’t detect any networks, it’s time to check your network settings. First, go to the Network & Internet settings on your computer by pressing the Windows key + I. Then, click on Wi-Fi and make sure it is turned on. If it is on and you still can’t detect any networks, try toggling the airplane mode option on and off.

4. Update your drivers: Outdated or corrupted network drivers can cause your computer to have trouble detecting Wi-Fi networks. Make sure your computer has the latest network drivers installed by going to the Device Manager on your computer and checking for updates for your network adapter.

5. Check for interference: Your computer might not be able to detect Wi-Fi networks due to interference from other devices. Move your computer closer to the router to get a better signal, or try changing the channel on your router to a less crowded one.

6. Reset network settings: If none of the above fixes have worked, try resetting your network settings. To do this, go to the Network & Internet settings on your computer and click on Network reset. This should help delete any corrupted network settings and help detect Wi-Fi networks again.
