Edtech Can Make School More Flexible For Students

Many teachers enjoy using technology in the classroom because it can allow students to complete their schoolwork from remote locations. 

When students save their work to the cloud, they can access that work from any device or location, given that they have internet access. This means that the students can take school work home with them, giving them more time to complete assignments and projects. 

Edtech Can Be Used To Improve Communication And Collaboration

There are plenty of edtech tools and apps out there that teachers can use to promote collaboration and communication between students. 

For example, the new Pedagogue app allows students (and teachers) to share work and ideas outside of the classroom. Once again, this app can also allow you to complete group assignments and projects from home, giving the students much more flexibility. 

Edtech Can Become A Distraction

Many teachers see edtech as a negative educational tool. Some educators believe that technology in the classroom will only lead to distraction amongst the students. 

As we have already mentioned, many students enjoy using technology. This creates the potential problem of students using resources, such as YouTube, to watch videos that aren’t related to the school work. In this case, the students will be taking advantage of the edtech, meaning that it will not be effective.
