Carbonite Review

Carbonite is an online backup service provider that provides customers with unlimited online storage for their personal or business files. With its excellent security features and affordable pricing options, Carbonite is a reliable and user-friendly solution for anyone looking for cloud backup and storage.

The first thing that stands out about Carbonite is its ease of use. The user interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate. With a few clicks, you can easily set up backups, manage your files, and customize your settings in real-time. Moreover, Carbonite’s dashboard provides a clear overview of the status of your backups and allows you to quickly monitor and manage your data.

One feature in particular that sets Carbonite apart from its competitors is its robust security measures. All files uploaded to Carbonite are encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 128-bit encryption, and those encrypted files are then transferred and stored in one of Carbonite’s several U.S.-based data centers protected by advanced security measures. Carbonite also provides two-step verification for added security.

Carbonite also offers multiple backup options, including automatic backups for your computer, server, or mobile devices. You can also easily schedule backups, choose which files to include or exclude from backups, and restore files with just a few clicks. Carbonite’s backup features are comprehensive and customizable, allowing you to create a backup plan that fits your individual needs.

One downside to Carbonite is that it lacks file sharing capabilities. Unlike some of its competitors, Carbonite doesn’t offer a centralized file sharing feature. However, you can still share individual files using Carbonite’s web application or mobile app, so it’s not impossible to share files, just not as easily.

Carbonite also has affordable pricing options. Its basic plan offers unlimited backup for a single device, starting at just $6 per month. Higher-tier plans are available for additional devices or increased storage capacity, and Carbonite also offers discounts for annual subscriptions. Compared to some of its competitors, Carbonite provides cost-effective options with a good balance of features and performance.

Overall, Carbonite is a reliable and user-friendly online backup service that offers top-notch security features, affordable pricing, and comprehensive backup options. While it doesn’t offer centralized file sharing, the convenience and peace of mind that Carbonite provides is worth considering for those looking for a cloud backup and storage solution.
