Blink Mini Review: A Low-Cost Camera With Pan-Tilt Mount Now Available

In the realm of low-cost security cameras, Blink Mini is emerging as a strong contender. With its sleek design, impressive features, and affordable pricing, it offers eager consumers an excellent product on a budget.

The Blink Mini stands out amongst its competitors chiefly for its Pan-Tilt mount, a feature typically found in more expensive models. The mount enables the camera to cover an extensive range – allowing for whole-room viewing, which isn’t commonly seen within this price bracket.

Metal-cased and compact in design, the Blink Mini isn’t much larger than an average golf ball at 2 inches by 1.9 inches by 1.4 inches – making it easy to place discreetly within your home. It weighs a light 48 grams, hence it won’t require heavy-duty hardware to install.

The primary draw of the Blink Mini is its performance. With a resolution of 1080p HD video, users can expect clear images both day and night, courtesy of infrared HD night vision. The view field is 110-degree diagonal, meaning despite its small scale; this camera covers a generous space.

Being equipped with two-way audio also enables users to listen in or talk back through the device from the corresponding Blink app on their smartphone.

Intelligence features come standard with motion detection that can send alerts directly to your phone. After detection recording is available and captured events are saved in the cloud storage for up to two years (with some associated fees). Users have full control over sensitivity settings within the application for personalized alerts.

Easy setup is another notable feature of this device. After plugging into power, you need to connect it to your Wi-Fi network and follow on-screen instructions in the Blink Home Monitor app – you’ll be up and running in minutes.

Price-point has been one of Blink’s biggest selling points since they were first released, and nothing has changed with their Mini model. You can get one single unit for under $35 or two for below $65 – enticing deal considering how feature-rich these small devices are.

Like every product, Blink Mini also has a few drawbacks – including no local storage option and much smaller viewing area compared to high-end models available in the market. While these points are merit consideration while purchasing decision, still due to its lower cost entry point – it seems fair trade-off for many.

Overall, this makes the Blink Mini an ideal option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly surveillance camera that doesn’t skimp out on high-end features like pan-tilt mount offering wider view angles and cloud storage facility for long-term footages saving purpose.

As it stands today, the Blink Mini offers fantastic value for money and has set new standards in low-cost security cameras category with its numerous strengths including clear footage quality at day & night times both along with user-friendly app interface that makes setup & operation quite easy even for first-time users.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a cost-effective way to enhance home security or even just keep an eye on your pets when you’re away – this gadget worthy gives due consideration.
