Wordle has taken the internet by storm with its simple yet addicting word-guessing game. But what if you’re looking for something different or want to switch things up? Here are some of the best Wordle alternatives to get your puzzle fix.

1. Jotto

Jotto is a classic word game that has been around since the 1950s. The objective of Jotto is to guess a five-letter word chosen by the computer. You have ten guesses to figure out the word, and after each guess, the computer tells you how many letters you have correctly guessed.

2. Hangman

Hangman is another classic word game that never gets old. The objective of Hangman is to guess a hidden word by suggesting letters. If you suggest a correct letter, it is revealed in the word. If you suggest an incorrect letter, the hangman figure is slowly drawn. You win if you reveal the word before the hangman figure is completed.

3. Codeword

Codeword is a word puzzle game where every letter of the alphabet is assigned a number. You are given a grid with a few numbers filled in, and your task is to fill in the remaining letters to form words. The catch is that each number can only be used once throughout the grid. Codeword is a challenging puzzle that will keep you entertained for hours.

4. Wordament

Wordament is a word search game that is played in real-time against other players from around the world. You are given a grid of letters, and you have to find as many words as possible within the given time limit. The player who finds the most words at the end of the game wins.

5. Boggle

Boggle is a word search game where you have to find as many words as possible in a 4×4 grid of letters. The catch is that the words have to be formed by connecting adjacent letters. The longer the word, the more points you score. Boggle is a fast-paced and fun game that will put your word skills to the test.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
