Disney World is a place of endless enchantment and incredible experiences. As a former Disney College Program employee, I’ve had the unique opportunity to explore the insider aspects of the park and understand what truly makes the Disney experience magical. Here are some of the best activities and attractions that you should not miss when visiting the Happiest Place on Earth.

1. Fireworks at Cinderella’s Castle: There’s nothing quite like ending your day at Magic Kingdom with the jaw-dropping fireworks display above Cinderella’s Castle. The nightly spectacle blends pyrotechnics, projections, and music into an unforgettable experience.

2. Avatar Flight of Passage: Over at Animal Kingdom, explore the lush world of Pandora and take part in one of the most immersive ride experiences ever created: Avatar Flight of Passage. This breathtaking 3D ride lets you soar on a banshee over the vibrant alien landscape.

3. EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival: If your visit aligns with EPCOT’s festivals, especially the Food & Wine Festival, be sure to partake in this gastronomic journey through different countries, offering an array of food and beverage options.

4. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: Embark on an intergalactic adventure in Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Boarding the Millennium Falcon on Smugglers Run or joining the Resistance in Rise of the Resistance are must-dos for fans.

5. Disney Character Meet and Greets: One of Disney World’s timeless charms is meeting your favorite characters in person. Don’t pass up a photo opportunity with Mickey Mouse or a warm hug from Olaf; these memories last a lifetime.

6. Haunted Mansion: This classic Magic Kingdom attraction combines spooky fun with technical wizardry. Ghostly apparitions, eerie effects, and playful spirits make Haunted Mansion curiously delightful for all ages.

7. Festival of The Lion King: A Broadway-style show at Animal Kingdom that captures the heart of The Lion King movie with stunning costumes, acrobatics, and beloved songs that will have you singing along.

8. Shopping at Disney Springs: Take some time away from the parks to visit Disney Springs for shopping, dining, and entertainment galore—from high-end brands to unique Disney merchandise you won’t find elsewhere.

9. Kilimanjaro Safaris: Get up close with African wildlife on this incredible safari ride through Animal Kingdom’s savannahs where you can see lions, elephants, giraffes, and more in naturalistic settings.

10. Stay in a Disney Resort: To get the full magical experience 24/7, consider staying at one of Disney World’s themed resorts where special perks like Extra Magic Hours extend your park time.

Remember that while planning can be essential for a Disney trip, sometimes spontaneity leads to magical discoveries that aren’t found in any guidebook—like stumbling upon a street performance or catching the impromptu appearance of a rare character. Soak up every moment at Disney World – each visit is unique and holds its own brand of magic!

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
