Spread the love

If you’re a fan of the classic Nutter Butter cookies, then you’re in for a real treat. This Nutter Butter Cake recipe is not only incredibly delicious, but it’s also easy to make. With its moist cake layers, rich peanut butter frosting, and delightful cookie garnish, this cake is sure to impress your family and friends.

Ingredients:

– 1 box yellow cake mix

– 1 cup creamy peanut butter

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 4 large eggs

– 1 cup whole milk

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Peanut Butter Frosting:

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 2 cups powdered sugar

– 1 cup creamy peanut butter

– 1/4 cup heavy cream

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Garnish:

– Nutter Butter cookies, crushed

– Whole Nutter Butter cookies for decoration (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, peanut butter, oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.

3. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

4. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

5. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the peanut butter frosting by beating together the softened butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter, heavy cream, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.

6. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one of the cake layers on a serving plate or cake stand and spread a layer of peanut butter frosting on top.

7. Place the second cake layer on top and spread a thin layer of frosting over the entire cake to create a crumb coat. Refrigerate the cake for about 20-30 minutes to allow the crumb coat to set.

8. After the crumb coat has set, frost the entire cake with the remaining peanut butter frosting, being sure to smooth out any imperfections in the frosting.

9. Press the crushed Nutter Butter cookies onto the sides of the cake and decorate with whole Nutter Butter cookies if desired.

10. Serve and enjoy your delicious Nutter Butter Cake!

Now that you know how to make this delightful Nutter Butter Cake, it’s time to share it with your loved ones. Get ready for their compliments and requests for a second serving!
