The rise of streaming services has revolutionized the way we watch TV, giving us the convenience of viewing our favorite shows and movies whenever and wherever we like. But with so many streaming services to choose from, it can be difficult to find the best option for your needs, especially if you want to watch local channels.

Fortunately, there are several legal streaming services that offer local channels in their packages. Here are some of the best options:

1. Hulu + Live TV: Hulu is well-known as a top streaming service for on-demand content, but they also offer a Live TV package that includes local channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. They have a wide range of plans to choose from, starting at $64.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.

2. Sling TV: Sling TV is one of the most affordable streaming services on the market, with packages starting at just $30 per month. Their Sling Blue package includes local channels depending on your location, as well as popular cable channels like CNN, FX, and AMC.

3. YouTube TV: YouTube TV is another great option for streaming local channels, with a package that includes ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. They also offer unlimited DVR storage and allow for three simultaneous streams for $64.99 per month.

4. FuboTV: FuboTV is a sports-focused streaming service that also offers local channels in their package. They have plans starting at $64.99 per month, which includes local channels in most major markets, as well as channels like ESPN and the NFL Network.

5. AT&T TV Now: AT&T TV Now (formerly known as DirecTV Now) offers local channels in their plans, as well as a variety of cable channels like MTV, HGTV, and the Discovery Channel. Their packages range from $55 to $183 per month, depending on the number of channels you want.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
