While Amazon remains the top choice for online book shopping, it’s always good to have alternatives. There are several other online stores that offer an equal or even better shopping experience. Here are some of the best Amazon alternatives to buy books online:

1. Barnes & Noble – With over 1 million titles and an easy-to-use website, Barnes & Noble is a great alternative to Amazon. It also has a rewards program that allows you to save up to 10% on future purchases.

2. Book Depository – Book Depository is a UK-based website that offers free worldwide shipping. It has a vast collection of books and offers competitive prices. The website is easy to navigate, and you can filter your search by new releases, best sellers, and prices.

3. ThriftBooks – ThriftBooks is an online bookstore that sells used books at a fraction of the price of new books. It has a wide selection of titles and offers free shipping on orders over $10. You can also sell your used books to ThriftBooks for store credit.

4. Powell’s Books – Powell’s Books is a Portland-based bookstore that has been in business since 1971. It has a vast collection of new and used books and offers free shipping on orders over $50. Powell’s also has an excellent staff picks section, where employees recommend their favorite books.

5. Better World Books – Better World Books is an online bookstore that supports literacy programs around the world. It sells used books, and for every book purchased, it donates a book to someone in need. The website is easy to navigate, and shipping is free in the US.

6. Alibris – Alibris is an online bookstore that sells new and used books, as well as rare and collectible books. It has a vast collection of titles and offers competitive prices. The website is easy to navigate, and you can filter your search by condition, format, and language.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
