Introduction:

Air fryer donuts are a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried donuts, offering the same delicious taste and texture without the added calories and fat. The air fryer cooks the donuts using a circulating hot air system, providing a crispy exterior and soft interior. In this article, we’ll show you how to make irresistible air fryer donuts with a simple, easy-to-follow recipe.

Ingredients:

– 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– Cooking spray

For Glaze:

– 1 cup powdered sugar

– 2 tablespoons milk

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). While it’s heating, remove the biscuit dough from the can and separate each piece onto a cutting board.

2. Using a small round cookie cutter or the cap of a plastic bottle, cut out the center of each biscuit to create donut shapes.

3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.

4. Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Be sure not to use too much, as this may cause your donuts to become soggy.

5. Place the prepared donut shapes into the basket of your air fryer, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook for approximately 4-6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Once cooked, carefully remove the donuts from the air fryer using tongs and immediately dip them into the cinnamon-sugar mixture while they are still warm. Be sure to coat each side well.

7. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, you can add more milk (a teaspoon at a time) until it reaches your desired consistency.

8. Allow the donuts to cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Conclusion:

Air fryer donuts are a delectable treat that delivers all the indulgence of traditional deep-fried donuts without the guilt. This simple recipe is perfect for a weekend breakfast, a midday snack, or even dessert. With your air fryer handy, you can now enjoy these delicious treats anytime you crave them!
