Spotify is a widely popular music streaming service that provides users with access to millions of songs. One of the features that users enjoy is the ability to receive notifications whenever a new song is playing. However, some users have reported that they are not receiving song change notifications on Windows 11. In this article, we will guide you on how to fix this issue.

Step One: Check Your Notification Settings

The first step is to check your notification settings to ensure that they are enabled for Spotify. To do this, go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions. Scroll down to the “Get notifications from these senders” section and make sure that Spotify is turned on.

Step Two: Check Your Volume Mixer Settings

If your notification settings are enabled for Spotify, the next step is to check your Volume Mixer settings. Sometimes, notifications can be muted or turned off in the Volume Mixer. To access the Volume Mixer, right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select “Open Volume Mixer.” Make sure that the Spotify notification volume is turned up and not muted.

Step Three: Reinstall Spotify

If the above steps do not work, you may need to reinstall Spotify. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features. Find Spotify in the list of apps and click on it. Select “Uninstall” and follow the prompts to uninstall the app. Once it is uninstalled, go to the Microsoft Store and reinstall the app.

Step Four: Reset Your Windows 11 Notifications

If reinstalling Spotify does not work, you may need to reset your Windows 11 notifications. To do this, go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions. Scroll down to the “Reset” section and click on “Reset.” This will reset all your notification settings to their default values.

Step Five: Contact Spotify Support

If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Spotify support. They can provide you with additional troubleshooting steps or escalate the issue to their technical team.

In conclusion, if you are not receiving song change notifications on Spotify on Windows 11, there are several steps you can take to fix the issue. By following these steps, you can ensure that you never miss a beat and enjoy your favorite music with ease.
