Netflix has been providing an incredible streaming service to people all over the world for several years now. The platform offers a wide range of movies and TV shows for people to watch, and it’s easy to get hooked and binge-watch everything in a matter of days. However, sometimes we end up watching something that we regret later. Maybe it was something that we watched with a friend who has different tastes, or maybe it’s just something that we’re embarrassed to have watched. In such cases, you might want to get rid of the history or remove the shows and movies from your Netflix account.

If you’re looking for ways to delete shows and movies from your Netflix history, there are several ways to go about it. In this article, we’re going to explore some of the most effective methods of doing this.

Method 1: Use the Netflix website

One of the easiest ways to delete shows and movies from your Netflix history is to use the Netflix website. This method only requires a few simple steps, and it can be done in a matter of minutes.

Step 1: First, head over to the Netflix website and log in to your account.

Step 2: Once you’re logged in, go to the “Account” section by clicking on your profile icon.

Step 3: Next, scroll down and look for the “My Profile” section. Click on “Viewing Activity” from the list.

Step 4: A list of all the TV shows and movies that you’ve watched on Netflix will appear. Scroll through the list and find the show or movie that you want to delete from your history.

Step 5: Hover over the show or movie that you want to delete, and click on the “X” button on the right-hand side.

Step 6: A dialog box will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to delete the show or movie from your history. Click on “Yes” to confirm.

Method 2: Using the Netflix app

If you’re watching Netflix via the app, deleting shows and movies from your history is just as easy as using the website.

Step 1: Open the Netflix app on your device and log in if you haven’t already.

Step 2: Click on the “More” button located at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Tap on “Account” from the list of options that appear.

Step 4: From the account page, scroll down and tap on “Viewing Activity.”

Step 5: Like in the website method, when you’re in the history/ viewing activity section, find the show or movie you want to delete.

Step 6: To delete that show or movie, tap on the button on the right-hand side that looks like an X.

Step 7: Confirm you want to delete the show or movie from history by clicking “Yes” on the dialog box that appears.

Method 3: Use a third-party extension

If you don’t want to delete shows and movies from your Netflix history manually, you can use a third-party extension or plugin to do the job for you. Some of the most popular extensions that let you do this include Netflix Account Settings, Cleared for Netflix, and Flix Assist.

These plugins or extensions let you delete individual shows and movies from your history or even clear your entire history with just one click. However, it’s important to be cautious and only use third-party extensions from trusted sources.
