How to Create an Instagram Account From Scratch

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms today. It’s a great way to stay connected to your friends, get updates from your favorite celebrities, and get inspired by beautiful photography. If you’re new to Instagram, creating an account might seem intimidating. However, setting up a new account from scratch is easy, and in this article, we’ll show you how to do it.

Step 1: Download the Instagram app

The first thing you need to do is download the Instagram app. You can find it on the App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Once you’ve downloaded and installed the app, launch it.

Step 2: Sign up for an account

When you launch the app, you’ll be taken to the login screen. Since you don’t have an account yet, click on “Sign up” to create a new account. You can choose to sign up with your Facebook account, or you can sign up with your email.

Step 3: Choose your username

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be asked to choose a username. Your username is how other people will find you on Instagram, so choose something that’s easy to remember and describes you or your brand. If your desired username is already in use, Instagram will suggest some similar usernames for you to choose from.

Step 4: Set up your profile

After you’ve chosen your username, you’ll be asked to set up your profile. You can add a profile picture, which can be a photo of yourself or your logo if you’re creating an account for your business. You should also add a bio, which is a brief description of who you are or what your brand is about. Make sure to include any relevant hashtags in your bio to increase your visibility on the platform.

Step 5: Follow other users

Now that your account is set up, it’s time to start following other users. You can search for other users by name or by using hashtags. To follow someone, simply click on the “Follow” button next to their username. You can also like and comment on other users’ posts to engage with them and start building relationships.

Step 6: Post your first photo

The last step is to post your first photo. To post a photo, simply click on the “+” icon at the bottom of the screen and select a photo from your camera roll. You can add a caption to your photo, as well as any relevant hashtags. When you’re done, click on the “Share” button to post your photo.

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
