Your Facebook profile picture is not only your identification on the social media platform but also represents your personality and how you want to be perceived by others. Changing your profile picture from time to time can keep your Facebook account fresh and updated. If you’re not familiar with how to change your Facebook profile picture, this article will guide you on the steps to follow.

Step 1: Login to Your Facebook Account

To change your Facebook profile picture, you will have to be logged in to your account. If you are not already logged in, go to Facebook’s homepage and enter your Facebook credentials (email/username and password) and click on the login button.

Step 2: Go to Your Profile

After logging in to your account, navigate to your profile by clicking on your name, which is usually located at the top left corner of the Facebook homepage.

Step 3: Click on Your Current Profile Picture

Once on your profile, hover over your current profile picture, and you will see an icon with a camera in the top right corner. Click on this icon to edit your profile picture.

Step 4: Choose the Photo You Want to Upload

After clicking on the edit profile picture icon, you have the option to choose a photo from your Facebook photos or upload a photo from your device. If you have already uploaded the new picture to Facebook, select “choose from my photos.” If you want to use a photo that is not on Facebook, select “upload photo.”

Step 5: Adjust or Edit Your New Profile Picture

After selecting the photo you want to use as your new profile picture, you will have the option to crop it, add filters, or edit it in any other way you see fit. Once you have made your desired adjustments, click on the “Save” button.

Step 6: Make Your New Profile Picture Public or Private

Once you have saved your new profile picture, you will be asked to choose who can see the picture. You can select “public” if you want everyone on Facebook to be able to see the picture, or you can choose “custom” and select specific people or groups you want to see the picture.

In conclusion, changing your Facebook profile picture is a simple process that anyone can do. By following these six steps, you can quickly and easily update your profile picture and give your Facebook account a fresh and updated look. Remember, your Facebook profile picture says a lot about you, so choose one that represents you in the best possible way.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
