The Artboards feature in Adobe Photoshop CC is a powerful tool that allows you to create multiple canvases within a single document. Whether you’re designing for print or web, the Artboards feature can help you organize your work and streamline your workflow. In this article, we’ll go over the basics of using the Artboards feature in Adobe Photoshop CC.

Creating Artboards

To create an Artboard in Adobe Photoshop CC, go to the File menu and choose New. In the New Document dialog box, select the Artboard option. You can choose from a variety of presets or create a custom size for your Artboard. Once you’ve chosen your settings, click Create.

Once you have created your Artboard, you can begin designing and adding elements to it just like you would with a regular canvas. To create a new Artboard within the same document, simply go to the Layers panel and click on the New Artboard button. You can also duplicate an existing Artboard by selecting it in the Layers panel and choosing Duplicate Artboard from the panel menu.

Organizing Your Artboards

One of the benefits of using the Artboards feature is that it allows you to organize your work in a way that makes sense for your specific design project. To rearrange your Artboards, simply select an Artboard in the Layers panel and drag it to a new position.

You can also group your Artboards together to keep things organized. To create a group, select the Artboards you want to group in the Layers panel and choose Group Artboards from the panel menu.

Exporting Your Artboards

When you’re ready to export your Artboards, Adobe Photoshop CC makes it easy. Simply go to the File menu and choose Export. You can choose to export individual Artboards or the entire document. You can also choose from a variety of file formats and settings, depending on your specific needs.

Conclusion

The Artboards feature in Adobe Photoshop CC is a powerful tool that can help you streamline your workflow and organize your design projects. By creating multiple canvases within a single document, you can easily switch between designs and keep everything in one place. Whether you’re a graphic designer, web designer, or digital artist, the Artboards feature is a great asset to have in your arsenal.
