As our phones have become increasingly intertwined with our personal and professional lives, protecting our privacy has become more important than ever. One way to maintain some level of privacy is by hiding contacts on your iPhone. This will prevent prying eyes from seeing the names and numbers you have saved on your phone.

Here’s how to hide contacts on iPhone:

1. Open the Contacts app on your iPhone.

2. Find the contact that you want to hide and select their name.

3. Tap on the Edit option located in the upper-right corner of the screen.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and find the option “Add to Favorites”.

5. Toggle the switch next to “Add to Favorites” to the “OFF” position.

6. After you have done this, the contact will no longer appear in your Favorites list or be easily accessible to others.

Another way to hide multiple contacts is by creating a new contact group and setting the visibility to ‘off’. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the Contacts app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on the ‘+’ icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen.

3. Select the option “New Group”.

4. Name your new group.

5. Add the contacts you wish to hide to this new group.

6. Once you’ve added the contacts, select the group by tapping on it.

7. Tap on Edit in the upper-right corner.

8. Scroll down, toggle the switch next to “Hide” to the “ON” position.

Now the contacts in the selected group will be hidden from view. You can do this with as many groups as you like to hide as many contacts as you want.

It’s important to remember that hiding contacts doesn’t mean you’ve deleted them entirely. You will still be able to find them through the Search function in the Contacts app. Additionally, if you have synchronized your contacts between your devices, these hidden contacts will still be visible on your other devices unless you also hide them there.

In conclusion, hiding contacts on your iPhone is a simple process that can help protect your privacy. Whether it’s just one contact that you want to keep hidden, or a group of contacts, you can easily do so by following the steps outlined above. However, it’s important to remember that hiding contacts doesn’t mean they have been deleted and can still be located through the search function.
