As avid gamers, it’s not always easy to find the peace and quiet needed to enjoy our favorite games. Sometimes we just want to play without interruption or the constant barrage of friend requests, messages, and notifications. That’s where appearing offline comes in handy. Here’s how to do it on your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5.

First, let’s look at the steps for appearing offline on the PS4.

1. Turn on your PS4 and sign in to your account.

2. Select the “Friends” tab from the main menu.

3. Click on your profile picture at the top of the screen.

4. From the drop-down menu, select “Appear Offline.”

Once you’ve followed these steps, your friends will no longer be able to see whether you’re online or what game you’re currently playing. You’ll still be able to play online and receive messages, but you won’t be visible to your friends.

Now, let’s take a look at how you can appear offline on the PS5.

1. Turn on your PS5 and sign in to your account.

2. Go to the “Game Base” by pressing the PlayStation button on your controller.

3. Select your profile picture at the top of the screen.

4. Choose the “Online Status” option.

5. From the drop-down menu, select “Appear Offline.”

Just like on the PS4, this will make you invisible to your friends, but you’ll still be able to play games and receive messages.

It’s worth mentioning that appearing offline doesn’t affect any of your online functionality, such as trophies, game saves, or online chat. It simply allows you to enjoy your gaming experience without being disturbed by unwanted interruptions.

If you ever want to appear online again, just reverse the steps above and choose “Appear Online.” It’s that simple!

In conclusion, appearing offline on your PS4 or PS5 is a great way to enjoy your gaming experience without interruptions. Follow the simple steps above, and you’ll be able to disappear from your friends’ radars in no time. Finally, you can immerse yourself in a game without worrying about anyone bothering you.
