Incognito mode is a handy feature of many web browsers that allows users to browse the internet without saving any browsing history, cookies, or site data. This can be useful for protecting your privacy, especially if you’re using a shared device or computer. However, there may be situations where you need to turn off incognito mode, such as when you want to allow cookies or if you need to access a website that does not allow incognito browsing. In this article, we’ll take a look at how to turn off incognito mode in different browsers.

Google Chrome:

To turn off incognito mode in Google Chrome, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1: Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top right-hand corner of your browser window.

Step 2: Select “New Incognito Window” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click the “X” icon in the top right-hand corner of the incognito window.

Step 4: You’ll be prompted to confirm that you want to close the incognito window. Click “Close” to finish.

Mozilla Firefox:

To turn off incognito mode in Firefox, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Click on the “Open menu” icon in the top-right corner of your browser.

Step 2: Click the “Customize Firefox” option from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Scroll down and click on the “Toolbars” option.

Step 4: Uncheck the box next to “Private Browsing” to disable incognito mode.

Safari:

In Safari, you can turn off private browsing by following these steps:

Step 1: Click on the “Safari” menu in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Select “Private Browsing” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click on the “Private Browsing” button to turn off private browsing.

Microsoft Edge:

Turning off incognito mode in Microsoft Edge is easy with these steps:

Step 1: Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser.

Step 2: Select “New InPrivate Window” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click on the “X” button in the top-right corner of the window.

Step 4: Confirm that you want to close the InPrivate window by clicking “Close.”

In conclusion, incognito mode is a great feature of modern browsers that allows you to browse the internet without leaving any traces of your activity behind. However, there may be times when you need to turn it off, and the steps to do so are easy to follow. Whether you are using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge, you can quickly disable incognito mode and start browsing normally.
