Instructional design cover letters can be tricky to write, but with a little practice, you can create an effective letter that will help you stand out from the competition.

When crafting your instructional design cover letter, keep the following tips in mind:

  1. Start with a strong, compelling opening statement.

Start by introducing yourself and your role in the design process. Address the needs of the client and explain how your skills and experience will help meet those needs.

  1. Be personal.

Humanize your work by explaining why you are the best person for the job. Share your passion for education and how your skills will benefit the client.

  1. Explain your approach.

Explain how your approach will help the client achieve their goals. Discuss the strategies you will use to engage students and achieve results.

  1. Offer examples.

Provide specific examples of how you have successfully addressed similar challenges in the past. Share examples of designs that you have created that have succeeded in reaching their goals.

  1. Close with a strong statement of interest.

The last section of your cover letter should be a strong statement of interest in working with the client. Explain how your skills and experience will benefit them and why you are the best candidate for the job.

By following these tips, you can create an effective instructional design cover letter that will help you stand out from the competition.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
