Great Education Administrators are Brave

Leadership often necessitates making difficult decisions, requiring a certain amount of bravery. You may be afraid and anxious, but you stand firm and adhere to your guns instead of backing down. This may appear straightforward, but what will you do if your controversial decision turns you into the most despised member of your school community?

Bravery may be a Lonely Path to Travel.

What will you do if your peers and family turn their backs on you due to disagreement with your position or policy change? You’ll have no idea till it comes to you. Let’s hope you will stick to your guns and do the best for your district’s students. People may take some time to change their minds, but if they realize the beneficial impact your action has on academic accomplishment, they will.

If you want to be courageous, you must be willing to attempt new things, trust people, and tackle situations that others might leave unanswered. You should also never be afraid to have difficult talks with your coworkers and subordinates. These conversations are hard and uncomfortable, but not having them makes the person in concern never develop, and you as a leader will never reach your full potential.

Finally, Some Thoughts

In self-improvement, many individuals declare a desire to improve themselves. On the other hand, they reverse course when the hard effort is required to make it a reality. Nothing in life is simple, and if you believe it is, you lack the necessary qualities to lead. The rest will follow if you stick to your principles. People who formerly questioned your leadership will now hail you as a champion who had the foresight to make the correct decision even though it would cause you pain.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject. From time to time, I will invite other voices to weigh in on important issues in EdTech. We hope to provide a well-rounded, multi-faceted look at the past, present, the future of EdTech in the US and internationally.

We started this journey back in June 2016, and we plan to continue it for many more years to come. I hope that you will join us in this discussion of the past, present and future of EdTech and lend your own insight to the issues that are discussed.
