Firstly, research your destination beforehand. Look for local parks, running trails, or community tracks. Many resort towns and cities have well-maintained paths specifically designed for runners. Nowadays, various apps provide detailed maps and routes uploaded by other runners, which can help you plot your course before you even pack your bags.
Equipment is crucial; make sure you pack accordingly. The right shoes are a no-brainer, but also consider moisture-wicking apparel to stay comfortable in different climates. Be mindful not to overpack—versatile gear that can be used for multiple runs or cross-training activities is ideal.
