With over 1 billion users, Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. Whether you want to promote your business, connect with like-minded individuals, or simply stay in touch with friends and family, Instagram offers a wide range of networking and communication options.
If you are new to Instagram, or if you are struggling to find contacts on the platform, here are some tips that can help you expand your network:

1. Use hashtags: Hashtags are an efficient way to find people with similar interests or hobbies. Simply type in a relevant keyword or phrase, preceded by the “#” symbol, and browse through the results. You can also click on a hashtag to see all the posts that are tagged with it, and follow people who share content that you enjoy.

2. Follow suggested users: Instagram’s algorithm recommends users based on your activity, interests, and connections. You can find these recommendations by tapping the magnifying glass icon on the bottom menu, and scrolling down to “Suggested.”

3. Connect with your contacts: If you have already connected your Instagram account to your contacts list on your phone or other social media platforms, you can easily find people you already know. You can also invite new contacts to join Instagram by sending them an invitation via email or text message.

4. Explore the Explore page: Instagram’s Explore page highlights popular posts, trending topics, and user-generated content that might interest you. By browsing through this selection, you can discover new accounts to follow and engage with.

5. Network through groups: Instagram also offers group options, such as engaging in challenges or contests or joining networking groups, which can help you connect with like-minded people.

6. Utilize Instagram’s “People You May Know” feature: This feature recommends accounts that they think the user may want to follow based on their activity on the platform. This feature is accessible via a user’s profile page in the upper right-hand corner.

In conclusion, Instagram is an excellent platform to connect with others from all over the world. Whether you are using it for social networking or business purposes, finding new contacts is crucial to expanding your reach and visibility. By utilizing these tips, you can broaden your circle of contacts and expand your network on Instagram.

About Us

Since technology is not going anywhere and does more good than harm, adapting is the best course of action. That is where The Tech Edvocate comes in. We plan to cover the PreK-12 and Higher Education EdTech sectors and provide our readers with the latest news and opinion on the subject.
